Family Portraits

Well, since I could have posted any of the photos from this shoot, I am going to have to just toss a coin. Must be nice for it to be impossible to have a bad photo taken of you. Even the ones with hurricane force winds weren't bad. I really tried but the camera wouldn't allow it! :) I would like to say it had something to do with superior photo taking abilities, and not everything to do with just being beautiful. God has seriously blessed these three with some good genes, and since we are related I guess that means maybe there is some hope for me in there somewhere! I love you all to bits and thanks for giving me the opportunity to photograph you. Now hurry back so we can do it again.

I had the privilege of photographing 2 of my most favorite people this afternoon. You both are beautiful inside and out. I have loved watching you both grow up to be such fine young ladies. You girls are going places and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for both of you.

Family Portraits

When a fellow homeschooling friend of mine called to say that she would like to schedule a portrait shoot on her birthday, I thought it was a great idea. It was a perfect way to convince her family to be happy and smiley as a gift to her. But then I quickly thought, "but it could also go so wrong." Needless to say I was feeling some pressure. After it was all over and we were parting ways, dad said to me, "Wow, I actually enjoyed that." That meant more to me than you know. I thought the pictures turned out great. Happy Birthday! May you be blessed with many more happy memories in your years to come.

I know very well all the work that goes into getting a family put together in an effort to gain a family portrait. It can be very stressful for everyone and I say a little prayer before each shoot that I am able to capture something that each family will cherish. I love these families that I get to work with and I consider the brief moments that I get to spend with them to be a gift. Beautiful families, adorable children...I love my job!
